Across Crete there are beautiful spots, canyons, vistas and especially beaches, there's something for everyone. The whole island is filled with historic sites. Chania airport is 45 min by car. The historic city of Chania,you have to visit and explore, and is at 30 minutes from the house. The nearest real beach is very secluded end located 3 minutes from the house. The town of Plaka with the good restaurants are 5 minutes from the house, Almirida with the delicious sandy beach is 8 minutes from the house. At Drapanos mountain there are still traces of World War II, you can visit a fortress built into the mountain, remember flashlights.
