Med barn är den uppenbara attraktionen en fritidsanläggning Slagharen (8,5 km) och på en varm sommar kommer friluftsjön De Oldemeijer att uppdatera dig. Den gamla Hansebyen Ommen är 14 km bort och har ett mysigt centrum vid floden Vecht i Overijssel. Hardenberg är en modern shoppingstad i regionen, där många evenemang organiseras på sommaren, som hantverksmässor, olika marknader och ballongfestivaler. This is a beautiful, quiet spot for those who love to be surrounded by nature. The woods have lots of birds and if you are lucky, you may spot a deer at dusk or sunrise. My son likes looking for frogs at the side of the pond! There's a path around the pond which you walk or run around! This is an ideal base for bike/walking trips or to go to other towns or cities. It is also not far from Germany. It's an ideal place for escaping the busy world we live in and to relax and find one's inner self. It's also ideal for writing or painting! The house itself is very simple but the surroundings are unique as the house is hidden away in a tranquil woods, on a large plot of private land. You can cycle to local campsites and get a day pass to use their facilities. Hardenberg has a sports centre where you can play tennis. There is a lovely pool called 'de Marsch' in Hardenberg, with an indoor and outdoor pool where you can swim lengths or go on the slides! We love to cycle to the delicious pancake house or the beautiful local lake. It's a wonderful location for relaxation and for days out. Useful information can be found in the house and our caretaker, Annelies, is also very helpful. A visit to the 'VVV' is always useful. If you like privacy and nature or need a base for days out, this place is for you!
