In the Lac de St. Cassien you can swim, fish, canoe and pedaloes. One of the most beautiful golf courses in France, domaine de Terre Blanche, is nearby. An hour's drive will take you to the Gorges du Verdon, one of the most spectacular nature reserves in Europe with high cliffs and gorges, sometimes 700 meters deep. Or you can stroll through the authentic mountain villages with their narrow streets, fountains, picturesque squares and provençal markets. Here you will also find attractive terraces and good restaurants. A day at the seaside is also possible. The beaches of Cannes, Antibes, Golfe Juan, Fréjus and Agay are only a half hour drive from Fayence.
