This holiday home is 15km away from the lake in a very popular area for hiking and nature enthusiasts. The town center is located 7km away where you can avail facilities like groceries, restaurants, doctor and tourist information. Take a day trip to the Edersee, one of the largest reservoirs in Europe, Kellerwald-Edersee National Park (UNESCO World Heritage site) and enjoy nearby places like Waldeck Castle, summer toboggan run, ropes course, wildlife park, Uniper funicular railway. This well-equipped home has a parking facility, terrace and garden with garden furniture. It has a barbeque, satellite TV, play equipment and high chair facility as well. The train station is at 15km distance and public transport can be availed at a walking distance of 200m.

Freshly baked bread rolls can be bought daily in the village of Freienhagen (near the butcher) within walking distance of the house (400 meters). On Sundays, sandwiches are sold at the petrol station 150 meters away.

The Edertall-sperre is an absolute must. In the evening after sunset the dam is spectacularly lit!
Good shopping can be done in Kassel (32 km). Go shopping and grab a drink in the various small towns near Freienhagen. Korbach (23 km) and Bad Arolsen (13 km) are very worthwhile. In Bad Arolsen you will also find the castle where \"our\" Queen Emma is born!
