It is an ideal base for all kinds of activities; the levadas of Madeira are famous for its beautiful walks, one of the routes (the Levada Nova) passes just 200 m.In Calheta you will find one of the few sandy beaches of Madeira. There are plenty of restaurants along the harbor and the main street. Paúl do Mar is a picturesque fishing village where you can see beautiful sunsets. From Paúl do Mar you drive to Jardim do Mar, a characteristic village with a network of small alleys; recommended!
